FAQS

1.

DROPS. 
Carolina XC will have two drops for their 9 round event. To qualify, racers who race 6 out of the 9 events will be considered for year-end awards with no-drops counting. Year-end awards will be assigned based on overall finishes in a minimum of 6 events, with as many as 7 events counting.

WORKING AVERAGES/BONUSES: There are no bonuses for working a race.

SIGN-UP TIMES:
Registration is Saturday starting at 4pm (on non-double header weekends) and continues Sunday at 7:30 am, with preference given to the 9 am Kids Race participants. On doubleheader weekends, sign-up will take place at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning with preference to the 9 am Kids Race.

SAFETY GEAR:
All riders must have a helmet, goggles, gloves, pants, long-sleeve shirt and boots that go over the ankles. Chest protectors are not required but are recommended. 
AMA equipment rules apply.

5.

AMA MEMBERSHIP:

Yes, an AMA Membership is required in order to participate in CAROLINA XC Racing.

There are four different membership options: $49 Annual Adult membership; $29 Annual Youth (4-11) membership; $98 Annual Family membership for up to five family members, and a $20 Single Day membership for GNCC riders who only compete with us once a year.
 

The $49 Annual Adult are available online. You will need to call AMA for the $29 Annual Youth (4-11) membership and the $98 Annual Family memberships at 1.800.AMA.Join.

If you join online, you can printout your temporary card and use it at registration.

MONEY ACCEPTED:
Cash is preferred. However, we do accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover . 

Checks are not accepted.
 

7.

GATE ADMISSION:

The gate admission is $20 for everyone 5 years and older.
Everyone, including the rider, pays this fee with the exception of children 5 and under - they're FREE.

8.

PRE-ENTRY:

Pre-entries are non-refundable and can only be transfered to the next available round.

9.

RESULTS QUESTIONS:

If you want to question or dispute the results, just go to the Sign-up trailer prior to the end of the protest period (30 minutes after results are posted) and ask.  Usually, they will be able to explain your results to you and make any corrections.  CXC is scored electronically, and mistakes do happen, but we try to catch them and correct them before the race day is even over. 

10.

REFUNDS:

Prior to the drop of the green flag, for the first moto, if you feel that either you or your machine is not prepared, then now is the time for you to withdraw for a complete refund of your entry fee.
